The mandate of the Scout-Guide Association of Banff is to provide retreat and meeting space for youth related groups within our community as well as visiting youth groups wishing to experience Banff National Park

There is parking behind the building, accessed through the gate in the back lane.

The hall is available for rental with priority given to local Scouting and Guiding programs. When available, it can be rented for week day activities / meetings or even weekend sleepovers for other youth based programs.

Rental Fee

Pricing in effect - September 2024

$20.00 per person per night, minimum fee of $400 / weekend.

Payment must be received within 2 weeks of booking to secure the dates requested. A damage deposit of $200 may be requested (at the discretion of the Banff Scout Guide Hall).

Amenities

  • Main room, rectangle tiled floor
  • Tables and chairs
  • Two washrooms
    • Male – 1 toilet stall, 1 urinal, 1 basin
    • Female – 2 toilet stalls, 2 basin vanity
  • Kitchen is small, with small stove with oven, microwave, bar fridge, 3 sinks
  • Kitchen linens not provided (dish cloths, drying towels etc.)
  • Dishes and cutlery for 24 and basic pots/pans
  • Shower (single) room for emergency use only
  • Utility closet
  • Furnace room

It is the responsibility of all hall users to maintain cleanliness of the facility.

Please ensure all areas used are cleaned.

Please take away everything that you bring. That includes recyclables, food and all garbage.

Booking

Please check the available dates on the calendar below, then complete our Booking form to make a booking request.

Once we receive your booking request we will email you the rental agreement to be filled out and returned to us, along with information on payment procedures.

Commemorative "Banff Scout Guide Hall" crests are available for purchase at an additional cost. Ask us about current pricing and availability! Orders must be confirmed a week before your arrival.

It will be your group's responsibility to bring any final payments of rental fees and crest fees owing to be left in the black mailbox at the top of the stairs before your departure.

Cancellation must be received no less than four weeks prior to your booking arrival date for full refund.

Information for Hall Users

  • Hall Phone #: 403-762-2951 (House phone is for emergency purposes only, long distance restricted).
  • The thermostat for the furnace is on the back wall next to the blackboard. Please turn down when leaving the building.
  • The hall key will be in a lock box at both the front and rear door of the hall with code to be given prior to arrival.
  • Please remove all black soled shoes so the floors will not be marked. A deduction from your damage deposit may be necessary if the floor has excessive black marks.
  • It is the responsibility of all hall users to maintain the cleanliness of the facility as we do not have a permanent caretaker. Please ensure all areas used are cleaned. Cleaning products are in the cupboard beneath the washroom sink. All furniture shall be returned to its designated spot. No outside footwear is permitted beyond the entrance hall and please bring indoor footwear.
  • Please take away EVERYTHING that you bring otherwise your damage deposit will be cashed. Everything includes recyclables, food, and all garbage generated. Recycling and garbage bins are located in the parking lot next to the Fire Hall on the 200 block of Beaver Street.
  • Please wipe the inside of (and outside if necessary) the fridge and leave it on.

Annual Christmas Tree Sale

The Scout Guide Association of Banff sells Christmas trees annually from late November throughout December.

Sizes range from 3 ft to 12ft
Prices range from $20 to $80

IMPORTANT - We take CASH ONLY. Nearest atm located at the Shell station next door.

If you are driving please park your vehicle in the rear parking lot. If the rear door is locked, follow the path to the front entry door on Lynx. st. It will be well lit. After making a purchase, you may use the rear door to take the tree to your vehicle.
